This includes local, state, and federal elected/appointed officials.

Get the names and contact information for the people who represent you on the federal, state, and local levels.

The best way to contact your elected official is by phone. In some cases, phone calls work better than written forms of communication like letters or email. This is because the person on the otherline has to listen to what you have to say. They can’t just skim the words like they may do with something that is written. Before you call, it is a good idea to prepare a script so you know what you want to say. A script like this will help you stay on the main point of your call.

A CTE is your resource for quick, to-the-point information that will help you make the case for career and technical education with policymakers, businesses and the public.
