Award Submission Criteria and Reminders
Applicants may only count each activity once in the BPA Cares Award Program. The only exception is for the Service Learning Individual and Chapter Activities Award of Excellence, where duplication is allowed. Chapters are allowed to complete more than one activity to meet the total required number of hours or dollars.
Each activity description must not exceed 500 words in total. Activities can include—but are not limited to—volunteering, training, or participating in efforts such as blood drives, clothing drives, food drives, disaster relief, or supporting local community shelters.
Every submission must include the title of the project, the organization that benefited, the date the project was completed, its location, and a full description of the activity. Submissions that do not include these elements will not be considered.
Finally, award applications must be submitted separately. Do not include them as part of another application, and do not attach them to technical projects for competitive events.
Note: Email or mailed applications will not be accepted. All materials submitted become the property of Business Professionals of America and may be used by the National Center as appropriate.
Applications due the second Friday in March.
